Flower Healing for Helene ~

It’s been a rowdy couple of weeks here in my part of the world. A deadly hurricane visited and the aftermath is beyond imagination.

My family and I are so fortunate to have experienced little or no damage, just deep gullies that formed after almost two feet of rain. Our high elevation meant that the waters ran off without so much as a glance back. Taking on the force of white water rapids they ran down though the gardens, the meadows, mountain roads and gorges, taking the fastest route, rearranging everything along the way.

Locals are saying it’s a 1000 year storm. Many people are dead, buried alive in mud slides and flooding. There is so much loss and devastation. Roads from my town were washed out, some are partially gone. Once the waters began to recede the full extent of the damage really set in.

It’s been hard for me to know exactly what to do to help. I bought food and supplies that were sent on a truck to the tiny town of Marshall, just west of Asheville. It's a place close to my heart where I've learned from herbalists and Shamans. A place where I bonded with women on similar path's to my own.

Yesterday at new moon/solar eclipse I got an insight as to what I could do to help, something that was within my power. I didn’t do it straight away as I find that working magic during an eclipse can sometimes go awry. I waited until this afternoon.

In a tiny crystal bowl I placed some spring water from the sacred Chalice Well in Glastonbury, England. I added Mother Essence drops from Lady’s Mantle, Borage, Hellebore and Evening Primrose Flower Essences. I placed a tiny Lumerian singing quartz in the bowl too.

I walked around my garden, pausing at all the natural springs until I found the one that wanted to be the carrier. It was a spring at the very bottom of my garden, in a clearing within a rhododendron grove ~ a sacred spot I call '"the place of endings." I lit a candle, said my prayers, anointed myself with the Essence blend and then poured it into the running water.

Knowing the power of Flower Essences I knew these flowers would take their remedy through the spring to the creek and on to the rivers that flow through Asheville and Marshall and surrounding areas, bringing healing and soothing gentleness to all in need of their medicine.

Lady’s Mantle ~ holds us like a child, shrouding us in the gentleness of a mothers love. She brings purity, protection and peace.

Borage ~ brings courage and strength

Hellebore ~ brings comfort to those who are grieving and experiencing times of deep loss.

Evening Primrose ~ brings the promise of rebirth and resurrection.

I am holding a deep trust in my heart that the Flower Essence healing blend that came forward will be felt by all very soon. May it touch and bless the people, the animals, the trees and moss, the grasses and flowers, rocks and stones, the waters, the children and babies, the homes and businesses and all those who suffered or perished in the storm.

May they feel this deep loving Peace too.
